Description Based within the Brand department, the successful incumbent will be responsible to manage used car administration and supply chain management according to brand definitions (vehicle return, refurbishment, quality check and logistics).
E-commerce sales of used vehicles to the dealer network and the sale of used vehicles to employees, ensuring customers receive a world class sales experience in accordance with the brand values thus increasing customer satisfaction and positively influence sales volume, profitability and market share.
This position also supports the OEM in building up wholesale/retail systems and processes ResponsibilitiesManage used vehicle pricing strategies by analysing auction offers, ensuring accurate SAP updates, and advising Finance and Brands to boost profitability.
Support used vehicle administrators with feedback and market insights to foster a motivating environment and achieve departmental goals.Manage the de-fleeting process for company vehicles, including condition assessments and quality checks, while supervising and training administrators on sales transactions and compliance with legal standards to ensure customer satisfaction.Maintain an accurate database of employee vehicle purchases and oversee the filing system for NATIS vehicle registrations.
Conduct regular audits and ensure accurate stock matching.
Evaluate used vehicle reconditioning costs by researching repair needs, obtaining quotes, and ensuring pricing reflects market costs.Coordinate the annual used vehicle stock take, including SAP reporting and audits, to ensure company compliance.
Supervise the distribution of used vehicles by processing purchase requests and finalizing sales agreements.
Manage e-commerce auction systems and disposal strategies to improve service for the dealers.Approve and manage dealer payments for used vehicle sale handling fees using SAP reports.
Oversee third-party suppliers for compliance and authorize payments by verifying invoices.
Approve orders for failed roadworthy items by investigating claims, assessing repairs, and issuing orders in line with sale agreements.Supervise the tender process for non-standard, accident-damaged, high-mileage, and scrapped vehicles in collaboration with internal audit and finance to ensure legal compliance.
Additionally, compile monthly management reports on used vehicle sales performance and stock levels, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery for effective comparison to internal targets and informed forecasting based on macroeconomic influences.
Qualification requirementsBachelor degree in Sales and Marketing/Finance/Cost Accounting/ Business administration Experience neededMinimum 3 years gained within Sales & Marketing/Retail sales/vehicle costing environment EssentialsSound knowledge of Used vehicle disposal process,A strong understanding of vehicle sales policies, procedures, legal requirements, and dealer operations, including their organizational structures and geographical locations.
Ability to communicate with all levels of management within the dealership, including Dealer Principals, Owners and Group DirectorsKnowledge of the dealer organization, geographical location and dealer operating processesSupport OEM in building-up wholesale/ retail systems and processesPossess in-depth knowledge of vehicle mechanics, enabling the identification and evaluation of vehicle damage and repair costs.
