At the core of our values lies a commitment to our community, members, and employees, with a focus on overall well-being.PRIMARY FUNCTIONS: Assist members with account transactions (deposits, withdrawals, transfers, payments, etc.) as well as the opening and servicing of all deposit accounts and consumer loan products. Assist in opening and servicing of Mortgages, IRAs and Business deposit or lending products, referring to management, coworkers or specialists as necessary. Perform a variety of duties promoting and supporting all Central One as well as CUSO services to new and existing members.SCHEDULE: Every Thursday & Friday 7:15am - 3:45pm. 16 hours per week.PAY: $19.25 per hour with at least 1 year of prior retail experience.DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:Actively develop competency in all facets of dialogue-banking, needs analysis, and consultative selling.Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of services offered by CUSO partners, making referrals as appropriate.Assess and confirm understanding of the needs of each individual member served.Provide detailed information, service and counsel on all COFCU consumer and business deposit accounts, consumer and Real Estate-secured lending products, as well as related services, policies and procedures.Strive to exceed member expectations and earn "World Class Service" rating on each interaction.Secure new memberships and enhance existing relationships through cross-sell of all Credit Union programs during each interaction with a focus on uncovering life-events that impact member needs.Achieve established goals by assisting in the recommendation, explanation, and implementation of products and services that are suitable for member needs, referring to other staff or specialists as appropriate.Conduct consumer loan interviews, carefully inputting all relevant application data to ensure accuracy while determining collateral needs and underwriting considerations.Review credit reports and underwriting factors in order to properly define loan conditions/requirements for conforming consumer loans.Qualify and close conforming consumer loans within guidelines, remaining aware of situations that may require consultation with Lending on any system-approved loan that warrants closer human review.Develop IRA knowledge and competency in order to open IRA accounts and process basic IRA transactions, including internal transfers, contributions, withdrawals and Required Minimum Distributions.Develop Mortgage knowledge and act as a Mortgage Loan Originator as defined by the SAFE Act, fulfilling all requirements to maintain an active federal registration in the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS), assisting members with the application process or referring to a Specialist as appropriate.Provide and/or retain all necessary disclosures and documentation as required.Balance cash drawer, vault, monetary instrument inventory, Cash Recycler and ATM while settling of the day's activities, whether for you individually or for the branch as needed.Act in a supervisory capacity as required.Perform BSA compliance duties as required in the Credit Union BSA Policy.Be assigned or travel to any branch, including satellite offices, to represent the credit union, as needed.Stay current on job-related equipment, procedures and/or information by reading handouts/memos, attending meetings and seminars and other necessary means.Adhere to all applicable Credit Union policies, procedures and regulations.Maintain community involvement and participate in special projects, as needed.Perform other duties as requested or assigned.RequirementsEducation: A high school diplomaExperience: 1 - 3 years of experience in a customer service or loan department of a credit union or financial institution, or related experience.Skills: Must be able to work efficiently and accurately, making solid decisions in a fast-paced environment. Analytical skills, ability to cross-sell and interact professionally face-to-face, by phone or via electronic means. Ability to act in a supervisory capacity.
