Hire Resolve's Client is currently seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Unit Manager specialized in Theatre to join a leading healthcare facility, in Mitchells Plain. This role will focus on ensuring exceptional operational standards within the Theatre unit while leading a dedicated team of professionals. Responsibilities Oversee all aspects of the Theatre unit's operations, ensuring compliance with policies and protocols. Lead, mentor, and train a team of nursing staff and surgical assistants to provide exceptional patient care. Manage schedules, allocate resources, and maintain inventory of surgical supplies and equipment. Implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery and patient outcomes. Coordinate with surgeons and other medical professionals to ensure smooth operation during surgical procedures. Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure compliance with health regulations and standards. Engage with patients and their families, addressing concerns and ensuring satisfaction. Develop and maintain effective communication with multidisciplinary teams for optimal patient care. Requirements Registered Nurse qualification with valid SANC registration. A minimum of 5 years of nursing experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role in the Theatre. Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and nursing practices within the Theatre environment. Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills to inspire and manage a diverse team. Proven ability to problem-solve and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal. Commitment to continuous professional development and evidence-based practice.
