Our shared values of People-centred, Integrity, Inclusivity, Compassion, Excellence, and Innovation define what we believe and who we are.Intercare Century City Day Hospital (Pty) Ltd situated in Cape Town, seeks an ambitious, talented, goal-driven, and self-motivated individual to fulfill the role of Theatre Unit Manager.The purpose of the position is to coordinate all the functions and activities related to the provision of quality patient care in a Hospital environment, excellent service to doctors, visitors, and support services in a cost-effective manner, as well as motivating, supporting, and optimizing staff performance and education to achieve the optimum functioning of the unit.CRITICAL OUTPUTSConform with Doctors requirements/expectations, remaining within the scope of practice as well as being patients' advocatesEnsure the management of all related nursing services and activities in the unit, according to Intercare objectives, policies, and proceduresMaintain effective discipline following Intercare's Code of Conduct and disciplinary codesEnsure the safe and correct use of all equipmentMonthly monitoring of cost center expenditure against budgetMaintain effective relationships with specialists, external bodies, and associationsREQUIREMENTSProof of registration as a Registered Nurse with SANCPost basic qualification in Operating Theatre technique essentialRelevant Management experience of at least 3 yearsAt least 5 years' experience in an Operating theatreConflict handling & performance management skillsProficient in MS OfficeIf your personal purpose is aligned with our purpose and your values fit our system, please apply.
