Mediclinic Welkom | Welkom | South AfricaClosing date: 06/09/2024Number of positions: 1Recruiter name: Tania PalvieReference number: 51568Workplace Type: On-sitePermanentMAIN PURPOSE OF JOBTo lead a quality and safe patient care experience that meets the set clinical standards through the optimal management of human and organisational resources within a structured unit.KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREASEnsure safe patient care by meeting set clinical quality standards according to company policies and procedures.Manage and mitigate clinical risks in the unit.Lead and manage the staff in the unit.Manage the unit's operational and capital expenses according to financial and budget guidelines and ensure optimal utilisation of resources.Manage and actively contribute to a positive patient experience in the hospital.Support the achievement of interdepartmental outcomes.Manage key stakeholder relations.REQUIRED EDUCATIONESSENTIAL EDUCATION: 3 or 4-year Diploma or 4 year Degree in Nursing; Postgraduate qualification in the unit's specialist area (if relevant).REQUIRED EXPERIENCEESSENTIAL MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: At least 5 years professional nursing experience in a hospital; 2-3 years leadership experience in a hospital.DESIRED EXPERIENCE: Infection Prevention and Control; Clinical Facilitation.REQUIRED JOB SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGEAuditing and accreditation processesClinical risk managementContinuous improvement and quality assurance methodologiesHuman resource processes including employee relationsInfection prevention and controlManagement of staff productivityNursing functional knowledgeAll applicants will be considered, with the understanding that preference will be given in accordance with the Employment Equity Plan of Mediclinic Southern Africa.
