My client in the financial services sector is currently recruiting for a reliable and passionate Relationship Manager with a RE5 certificate and relevant experience as mentioned in the job advertisement to join their well established team. Minimum requirements: At least five (5) years insurance experience with exposure to management experience Experience and qualifications relating to Management will be advantageous Relevant Short Term Insurance qualifications will be advantageous RE5 certificate compliant with FAIS regulations for registration as Representative Excellent people and interpersonal skills Excellent communication skills Fluent in Afrikaans and English Motivated and goal driven Experience in interacting with Brokers and Clients The ability to work under pressure Excellent reporting skills and the ability to identify and address risk areas Responsibilities will include: Ensure underwriting profitability Ensure new business growth Ensure renewal growth Ensure that all aspects of the Administration as prescribed by Law, Regulations or Company S.O.P.'s are adhered to and enforced Institute and maintain a high standard of service regarding all facets of business, the meeting of deadlines as given and the adherence to Company policy and service standards Implement Company quality control policy and ensure that errors are limited to a minimum Ensure good communication and transparent relationships with Head Office is in place and ongoing Maintain a good understanding of the Agricultural Insurance Market in area of responsibility to keep abreast of changing environment Responsible for keeping within the set expense budget for the area of operation Maintain and develop IT systems knowledge including Grail operating system, Excel, Word and other Microsoft programs as required Ensure understanding of Area and Company Financial aspects when setting up and executing annual and monthly plans and budgets Maintain and develop Broker network in the designated area according to prescribed Broker management plan Responsible to work independently and without constant supervision towards achieving set goals Travel extensively and maintain operational abilities as part of the job description Maintain a high level of knowledge, experience and practical aptitude in the following areas: Marketing, Underwriting, Claims, Premium Control and general office administration Maintain good relationships with brokers and staff and keep high levels of interpersonal and communication skills Provide efficient service to Brokers in all aspects of business Maintain understanding and adherence to the systems and underwriting principles, claims settling procedures and premium control procedures Develop and improve own Technical and Underwriting Insurance knowledge, with hands on training with follow-up sessions to ensure that practical application and processing on the IT system is possible when and where required Ensure that legal requirements as to Fit and Proper is met and maintained Understand and have practical experience in the working of the paperless system Have a good understanding of client's accounts and renewal processes Attend to any other duty as requested by Managing Director IMPORTANT: Applications close 5 November 2024 Only applications submitted via the Ditto Jobs platform will be considered Only candidates who meet all our client's minimum requirements will be contacted
