Heavy Commercial Vehicle UnderwriterReference: CPT000409-AL-1Company in Gauteng looking for an experienced Heavy Commercial Vehicle Underwriter to underwrite Transportation policies.Duties & ResponsibilitiesRequirements:5 – 7 years experience with Heavy Commercial Vehicle underwritingExperience in working with HCV & GIT related productsProven track record of underwriting experience e.g. assessing exposure and underwriting levelsVery good communication skills (both written & verbal)NQF Level 4: Short-Term Commercial Lines 60 CreditsSuccessfully completed the RE 5 Examination Level 1Responsibilities:Underwriting of new and renewal business on Heavy Commercial Vehicle and Goods in Transit risksEnsuring that risks are written within the company's risk appetite and complies within the reinsurance treaties and internal mandatesMonitoring and taking corrective action on badly performing risksMaintain an acceptable loss ratioMaintain policy wording drafts and ensure that the product remains competitive with market offeringDealing with day to day queries and amendments to existing policiesProviding brokers with adviceMaintaining and building good customer relationships with brokersConducting product training to brokersProvide input into building and designing various aspects of the products on a designated systemProvide comparisons between the competitors' productsPlease ensure your CV is in WORD or PDF format, and not scanned.
