The Undergraduate Assistant and Outreach Coordinator works under the general supervision of the Undergraduate Advisor and Program Manager, and facilitates the administration of undergraduate programs, coordinates student outreach and engagement initiatives, and supports a range of academic and co-curricular activities that enhance the student experience.
The incumbent coordinates the administration of undergraduate field courses, internal and external student research awards, organizes the undergraduate research fair and other student-focused events, including infosessions, workshops, and alumni panels.
Your responsibilities will include: Providing detailed information on course eligibility requirements, procedures, policies and deadlinesAdvising students on course requirements by probing and providing a range of options and possible consequencesDetermining logistical details and activities for events and/or programmingEditing content for brochures, newsletters, websites and/or handbooksPreparing and delivering presentations to promote programs, opportunities and/or initiativesCollating and organizing data for various reportsUpdating and maintaining recordsServing as a resource to others by providing (non-supervisory) job-related guidanceEssential Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree or acceptable combination of equivalent education and experienceMinimum three (3) years of recent and related experience in a large post-secondary environment providing undergraduate student support services, outreach, and program administration.Experience advising students in undergraduate programs on academic matters.Experience providing administration for undergraduate programs.Experience planning and coordinating student outreach initiatives, special events and workshops.Experience coordinating logistics of meetings and events.Experience working with student information databases (e.g.
ROSI, ROSI Express, Degree Explorer), including data entry and preparing reports.Demonstrated ability to edit promotional materials and maintain website content.Demonstrated advanced skills in Microsoft 365 Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint.Excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills.Customer service-focused on the needs of internal and external stakeholders.Strong organizational and time management skills to manage a variety of tasks and meet overlapping deadlines.Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.Assets (Nonessential): Knowledge of and familiarity with academic and professional communities relevant to EEB programs.To be successful in this role you will be: OrganizedResourcefulTeam playerClosing Date: 01/17/2025, 11:59PM ET

USW Pay Band 10 -- $70,844.
with an annual step progression to a maximum of $90,595.
