Uffc Branch Manager

An opportunity has arisen for a Branch Manager who manages a team that controls the import and export process for goods, cargo, and equipment in accordance with the organisation's strategic objectives through the Port of Durban. The candidate must be well-versed in the import and export Customs process and familiar with local Port operations.
Responsibilities include:
Negotiating agreements with service providers such as shipping lines, transporters, unpack-depots, and warehouses. Directing clerical staff in expediting import and export correspondence and Customs requests for information. Assisting with credit collections. Ensuring the branch is managed efficiently and in a customer-centric manner to enable client retention and competitive service. Maintaining current information on import-export tariffs, licenses, and restrictions by being fully conversant with the Customs Act, SACU, BLNE countries, and SADEC regions. The ideal candidate must be a strategic thinker who can operate independently but lead by example.
