Uav Service & Technical Support Specialist

A well-established company specializing in advanced drone technology and solutions, primarily focusing on the agricultural sector, is seeking the above to manage all technical aspects, plan and execute product demonstrations, train customers and business partners on drone applications, software and hardware, and to develop content for marketing and social media.Minimum Requirements For The RoleMust have a bachelor's degree in agriculture, mechatronics, or related field, with a focus on drones, or equivalent experience.Minimum 3 years' experience in technical support or a similar role.Must have a completed Remote Pilot License (RPL) with proven flight experience.Experience in customer technical training with strong presentation skills are essential.Passion for the commercial agricultural drone market.Must have a valid driver's license and be willing to travel up to 50% of the time, locally and internationally.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills will be required.Must have strong technical expertise combined with a commercial aptitude.The Successful Candidate Will Be Responsible ForOverseeing and executing drone service and repair strategies in KwaZulu-Natal while collaborating with agricultural drone customers and contractors.Developing and managing service and support documentation for third-party service providers, ensuring high-quality post-sale service.Maintaining technical relationships with business partners, providing training and necessary parts for optimal service.Leading demonstration days and training sessions as a licensed Remote Pilot (RPL), offering ongoing support in the region.Becoming a product expert, showcasing the benefits of drones and assisting with sales.Identifying opportunities, following up with customers, and driving the planning and execution of demonstration days.Please note that subsequent to the screening and shortlisting process, all further communication will be entered into, only with the shortlisted candidates.
