Key ResponsibilitiesVDI Infrastructure Design:Design and architect VDI environments based on business requirements and industry best practices.Develop and maintain detailed documentation for VDI infrastructure components and processes.Evaluate and select appropriate hardware, software, and networking components for VDI deployments.VDI Implementation:Deploy and configure VDI infrastructure components, including hypervisors, virtual machines, and desktop operating systems.Integrate VDI with existing IT infrastructure, such as Active Directory, network storage, and load balancers.Perform system testing and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance and stability.VDI Management and Optimization:Monitor and manage VDI performance, including CPU, memory, storage, and network utilization.Identify and resolve VDI performance issues and bottlenecks.Implement optimization strategies to improve VDI scalability and user experience.VDI Security:Ensure the security of the VDI environment by implementing appropriate security measures, such as access controls, encryption, and vulnerability management.Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.VDI Support:Provide technical support for VDI users and applications.Troubleshoot and resolve VDI-related issues.Develop and maintain knowledge base articles and documentation.Qualifications and ExperienceBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.5+ years of experience in VDI infrastructure design, implementation, and management.Strong understanding of virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Citrix, Hyper-V).Knowledge of network infrastructure, including routing, switching, and load balancing.Experience with desktop operating systems (e.g., Windows, Linux).Experience with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python).Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Certification in VDI technologies (e.g., VMware Certified Professional - Desktop Virtualization, Citrix Certified Associate - Virtualization) is preferred.Skills and CompetenciesTechnical Proficiency: Deep understanding of VDI technologies, network infrastructure, and virtualization platforms.Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve complex technical issues.Communication: Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.Teamwork: Ability to collaborate effectively with team members and cross-functional teams.Adaptability: Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to changing business needs.
