Job Title: Troubleshooting Technician
PURPOSE OF THE JOB This position will be primarily responsible for the warranty, repair, maintenance, and ongoing technical/testing support of the Cubicles in the Locomotive. Focuses on parts/product safety and warranties for the customer. Carries out root cause analysis and resolution for customer issues. Ensure that all customer warranty returns are analyzed and tested in detail to confirm the faults, collect root cause analysis and provide corrective feedback to resolve the issues.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES Warranty, Repairing, Maintenance and Testing of Cubicles and components from the Locomotive.Remove, disassemble, repair and reassemble and replace whole or partial electrical components according to current Warranty assembly and disassembly procedures accompanied by the ability to read and understand Technical Drawings.Carry out hands-on inspection and diagnostics of components and review against the specification to understand shortfalls.Perform fault finding and utilize troubleshooting skills, also work unsupervised and be a hands-on team player whom processes exceptional customer service skills.Provide support to the framework for the warranty returns, customer concerns, and the company problem-solving/root cause analysis system.Create, document and maintain Warranty return parts, claims, and costs. Ensure that analysis data is reported to management within agreed time scales in customer-specific format as required.Conduct detailed analysis of warranty return parts, claims, and cost to determine corrective and preventative actions to support the Customer.Communicate fault and liability information to the relevant internal management in order to obtain robust interim and permanent corrective actions aimed at warranty prevention and cost reduction.Contribute to ensuring lessons learnt from warranty analysis are communicated to management to be captured on new projects.Quality, Performance Management Support/feedback. Maintain tools and workspace, ensuring all equipment is correctly calibrated.Undertake special projects as required and contribute to continuous improvement activities.Quality control of work by appropriate levels and to support in process improvement.Achieve goals within budget be aware and work to achieve the Key Performance Indicators.Attend various meetings and action/communicate instructions to Management.Ensure compliance and assist with adherence to Quality Management system.People, Relationship and Self-Management. Train and Support team members within own workgroup.Perform an effective team member role while working with colleagues to ensure a smooth workflow.Liaise and communicate with other departments, customers, suppliers, and other service providers where appropriate.Proactively contribute to the team while being assertive, resilient and welcoming changes.Other Tasks Perform any other task assigned to him/her by Project Warranty Coordinator & Project Manager.Updating of Warranties and Repair Data Bases.MAIN REQUIRED COMPETENCES Educational Requirements Trade Certificate in Electrical Engineering or Equivalent.- at least 1 year working experience within the PPC assembly line.
Experience Must have a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a similar role.PPC product knowledge.Technical skills/knowledge (if required): Troubleshooting/Fault Finding.Electrical Repairs.Ability to read and understand Technical Drawings.Microsoft Package.To Disassemble and Reassemble.Basic knowledge of Cubicle Technology.Supply Chain requirements. Understanding of interfacing functions.Basic knowledge of converter technology.Good knowledge and handling of PC-systems.Handling of databases (Part lists, test- / failure- / repair-reports).You don't need to be a train enthusiast to thrive with us.
