If you think you will flourish in our environment, and you believe you have the necessary skills and competencies for the position advertised, then we are looking for you!Are you someone who has:A 3 year relevant experience as a Transaction Manager7 – 10 years minimum work experience in financial servicesA Good Understanding of Fixed Income + basic derivatives (BONDs, Loans and Depos, Swaps, FRA's etc)Understanding and ability to demonstrate understanding mechanical operation of these instruments.Able to explain PV01, theta, MTM, Accrual.Ability to answer valuation questions easily.Understanding of cleared vs uncleared swaps.Solid understanding of concept of internal funding trades.Knowledge of FX spot and FXFwds – explain mechanics and valuation drivers.You will be an ideal candidate if you have understanding of:Cross currency Swaps:Understanding in execution or bookingAbility to explain mechanics and valuation drivers.Capital instruments (AT1 / T2):Purpose of the instrumentsValue relative to Senior BondsBalance guaranteed swaps.Securitisation structures:Why do banks utilise these structures.Basic legal structureInternal Funding Curves:Construction inputs and philosophy around construction of Asset and Liability curveP&L signoffRisk reporting sign-offWe can be a match if you have:Minimum Qualification:BSc (Math, CompSci, ActSci, App Math)BSc Eng (Chem, Elec, Mech, etc)BCom (Finance, economics, Investments, Accounting)MCommMSc (Maths of Finance, AFRIM)Advantageous certification:ACI Dealing CertificateFRM part 1&2BTRMJob DetailsApplication Closing Date: 12/08/24All appointments will be made in line with FirstRand Group's Employment Equity plan.
