PURPOSE
As a Treasury and Accounts Analyst, you are responsible for managing the organization's financial activities related to treasury functions and accounting processes. This includes overseeing cash management, liquidity, investments, and financial risk management. You will ensure that the organization's financial resources are utilized effectively and efficiently, and that all financial transactions are accurately recorded and reported in compliance with relevant regulations and standards. The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and knowledge of financial markets and accounting principles.

Your key responsibilities include:
Cash Management:
Monitoring and managing the organization's cash flow to ensure liquidity while maximizing returns on idle cash.
Execute daily cash management operations, including reconciliations and fund transfers.
Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Analysing technical support issues and updating the Cash Flow Dashboard.
Bank Account maintenance and establishing connectivity of new accounts.
Provide support for admin queries related to transactions/bank statements.
Forex Management:
Update the foreign exchange rates daily.
Negotiate favorable rates for international payments.
Maintain the forex exchange analysis report.
Investments:
Assist in reallocating excess funds from current to call accounts.
Ensure funds are available in current accounts for payments.
Assist in maintaining investments as per investment policy.
Compile cash forecasts to assist with investment decisions.
Bank Administration:
Assist in opening and closing bank accounts.
Updating signatures on bank profiles.
Assist in maintaining bank profiles.
Credit Card Management and Banking reporting.
Banking Relationships:
Develop and maintain relationships with banks and financial institutions.
Negotiate favorable terms for banking services and credit facilities.
Manage communication with the banks.
General Ledger:
Assist with ensuring that clearing accounts are clear at month-end.
Processing monthly journals and revaluations for Forex.
Updating on Balance sheet reconciliations.
Compliance and Risk:
Assist in the development and implementation of treasury policies and procedures.
Collaborate with internal teams to optimize liquidity and mitigate financial risks.
Comply with relevant policies, regulations, and legislation.
Qualifications / Knowledge:
Matric Certificate
Bookkeeping Diploma or Accounting degree or Professional certification
Required computer literacy levels.
Microsoft Suite
Accpac an advantage
Experience:
Minimum 3 years' experience in auditing or finance.
