Candidate Requirements:Grade 12 essentialMust have a relevant tourism degree or diplomaA minimum of 3 years experience in a similar position is essentialA minimum of 5 years in FIT essentialBroadly traveled in Africa candidate essential Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience selling in African safaris with a proven track record of successful salesMust be proficient in TourPlan, ResRequest, Waybird or similarMust be proficient in Microsoft Office Must have knowledge of African destinations, wildlife, cultures, and current travel trendsMust have strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skillsMust have excellent organizational skills with attention to detailAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks is essentialWill need to be able to design and sell personalized safari itineraries that cater to the needs and interests of clientsWill need to research, evaluate, and select appropriate suppliers such as hotels, lodges, camps, and transport providersMust be able to plan and coordinate complex bookings including flights, visas, and travel insuranceMust be able to provide expert advice to clients on African destinationsMust collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets and business goalsMust maintain accurate records of sales, payments, and other related documentation
