Transport Planner

Our client is looking for an experienced Transport Planner to join their team. This role would entail overseeing the planning of the transportation from the production facility to distribution centers and customers.
Key Responsibilities:

Route Planning: Develop and optimize transportation routes to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
Fleet Management: Manage the transportation fleet effectively to ensure operational efficiency.
Scheduling: Create and manage delivery schedules.
Coordination: Work closely with drivers, warehouse staff, and customer service teams to coordinate transportation activities.
Compliance: Ensure all transportation activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
Reporting: Generate reports on transportation performance, costs, and other key metrics for management review.
Cost Management: Monitor transportation costs.

Requirements:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in transportation planning or logistics, preferably in FMCG.
Knowledge: Familiarity with transportation regulations and compliance standards.

Skills:

Analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
