Job Vacancy: Transport Networks SMETemp Position in JHB - Northern Suburbs We are seeking a skilled Transport Networks Subject Matter Expert to join our team. As the Transport Networks SME, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining network solutions to ensure efficient transportation operations. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
Duties and Responsibilities: Develop and implement network strategies to enhance transportation efficiencyMonitor network performance and troubleshoot issues in a timely mannerCollaborate with internal teams to design and deploy network solutionsStay updated with industry trends and technologies to recommend improvements Technical Skills Required:
High degree of expertise in LTE and 5G Mobile Backhaul TechnologiesSolid understanding of Transport Network Design, Configuration, Planning and Optimization processesDefinition and deep-analysis capabilities of Transport Network KPIs.E2E optimization and troubleshooting capabilities to resolve systematic network anomalies.Solid plan establishment for Site – Cluster – Network level optimization.Hands-on experience with Transport Network OSS and Management Systems.Essential Requirements
MSc. degree in Technology preference in Telecommunication or Electronical engineering.10+ years of experience in E2E transport network optimization, preferably in a 4G/5G mobile backhaul environment.Advance level expertise in LTE & 5G optimization.Proficiency in using vendor-specific Transport OSS tools.Strong understanding of microwave radio configurations and related alarms.Experience with IP-MPLS configuration and optimization from different equipment vendors.Knowledge of IP dynamic routing protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP) and QoS configuration.Familiarity with TWAMP counters and interpretation of results.Experience in processing and analyzing big data.
