Transport Controller

Role Summary:The Transport Controller will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing the company's transportation operations to ensure smooth and timely delivery of goods. This role involves managing driver schedules, ensuring vehicle maintenance compliance, monitoring delivery routes, and resolving any logistical issues that may arise. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a keen attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Key Responsibilities:Plan and coordinate the transportation of goods, ensuring optimal route efficiency.Monitor and manage driver schedules, dispatch, and fleet performance.Oversee the maintenance and servicing schedules of company vehicles.Ensure all transportation activities comply with legal and safety regulations.Track and report on the performance of transport operations.Work closely with other departments to ensure timely delivery and excellent customer service.Resolve any issues related to delays, breakdowns, or other disruptions to transport services.Maintain accurate records of transport operations and vehicle maintenance.Qualifications:Proven experience in a transport or logistics controller role.Strong understanding of transportation regulations and safety standards.Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.Proficient in transport management systems and software.Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Valid driver's license and knowledge of fleet management.
