Our department members are dedicated to aid all students to the greatest extent, to make their university experience as smooth and seamless as possible. We coordinate personal, financial, and academic counselling, registration.Reporting to the Associate Director, Transfer Credit, the incumbent assists the Transfer Credit Office with transfer credit assessment, registration and responding to enquiries in a timely manner.Your responsibilities will include:Applying established standards when administering a process for consistent evaluation of transfer creditsAnalyzing domestic academic documents to assess credentials against University equivalenciesLiaising with contacts to ensure consistent administration procedures are followedProbing for information to establish needsResponding to enquiries within the defined scope of the role and redirecting as appropriateCreating and updating student recordsWriting routine documents and correspondenceFollowing rules and procedural instructions when receiving, sorting and distributing mailEssential Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree or acceptable combination of equivalent experience.Minimum two years of recent and related experience with the administration of evaluating courses from other institutions for transfer credits.Experience providing front-line service to students.Experience assessing courses from domestic and international institutions.Demonstrated experience applying University policy and procedures and ensuring consistency of policies.Demonstrated experience, knowledge, and understanding of educational systems domestic and international.Experience and sound knowledge of best practices in transfer credit and enrolment.Experience in updating and maintaining database recordsDemonstrated experience with Rocket Shuttle, Slate, Degree Explorer, Mobility Online, and ROSI or similar systems.Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office, internet, email, and mail merge.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written)Excellent time management and organizational skills.Demonstrated attention to detail, accuracy, and timeliness.Ability to prioritize and work under pressure in a fast-paced environmentAssets (Nonessential):Second language ability is an asset.To be successful in this role you will be:DecisiveGoal orientedMotivated self-learnerOrganizedResourcefulTeam playerPlease note:This is a term position until August 2026.Closing Date: 12/10/2024, 11:59PM ETEmployee Group: USWAppointment Type: Budget - TermSchedule: Full-TimePay Scale Group & Hiring Zone: USW Pay Band 09 -- $66,715. with an annual step progression to a maximum of $85,319.
