Training Officer, Dac/Alc/Dww (Tiong Bahru)

JOB SCOPE/ KEY RESPONSIBILITIES1.
Client Care- Develop and implement clients' Individual Care Plans (ICP) and monitor their progress- Plan and co-ordinate therapeutic and training activities and events for clients using a pro-active, collaborative, creative and person-centred approach- Assist clients in performing areas of self-care such as feeding, grooming and toileting (including diaper changing) and in maintaining good standards of hygiene- Ensure client's safety and well-being at all times2.
Administration- Maintain client's attendance and administrative records, including ICPs, Case conference reports etc- Maintain effective and regular communication with parents, family members and/or caregivers- Support ad-hoc volunteer events/outings on weekends- Co-ordinate and participate in case conferences to discuss clients' development and other related mattersJOB HOLDER REQUIREMENT'O' Level/'A' Level/ITE Certification and above, from a recognised educational institutionRelevant experience in the fields of Special Education or Social services is preferredExperience in Community Service with exposure to youths/adults with disabilities is an added advantageGood command of spoken and written EnglishDemonstrate a commitment to and an understanding of social inclusion as well as the values associated with promoting independencePatient, positive and passionate about working with adults with disabilitiesStrong commitment of care toward adults with disabilities and a positive mindset towards their development and growthSelf-motivated and keen to develop professionallyWork effectively both as an individual and as part of a multi-disciplinary teamAble to do cross-Divisional work as necessary
