Select your country to see jobs specific to your location.Key Functional Responsibilities of the Training Manager:Ensure that SOP and general training material is updated, accurate, and effective.Facilitate the SOP and general training and assess employees against the required learning outcomes.Develop, assess, and facilitate new training programs within the organisation.Coordinate and consolidate learning and development needs in line with the business operations.Develop and implement the graduate program.Ensure delivery of learning and development interventions in line with quality standards to achieve learning outcomes and business goals.Train and coach managers, supervisors, and others involved in employee development efforts.Provide guidance and assistance to employees with their career development process.Ensure coordination of the WSP/ATR in line with the business plan.Ensure SETA requirements are met and to optimise skills development grants.Ensure compliance with company policies, quality assurance standards, and regulatory requirements.Sound understanding of the legislative framework to manage all training-related programs, including the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA) Act, Basic Conditions of Employment Act, Skills Development Act, Skills Development Levies Act, and the BBEEE Act.Build strong relationships with Training Service Providers and review the cost-effectiveness.Conduct follow-up study assistance of all completed training to evaluate and measure results.Improve programs as required and evaluate changes per legislation.Work effectively as a team member with other members of management and the HR department.Personal Skills and Competencies Required:Exceptional verbal and written communication skills (English).Expert with a variety of multimedia training platforms and methods.Ability to evaluate and research training options and alternatives.Ability to design and implement effective training and development.Learning assessment and moderation.Coaching skills, planning, and organisational skills.Ability to work in a dynamic team; results and deadline-driven.Problem-solving capabilities.Disciplined approach.The above list is not exhaustive, and you shall be obliged to perform subsidiary tasks in addition to the primary tasks for which you are employed.
The Company undertakes to ensure however, that these subsidiary tasks will be within the training and experience or occupational capabilities of yourself and that you shall not suffer any loss of remuneration or status for work performed on subsidiary tasks.Minimum Qualifications:Grade 12 with Relevant ETD qualification (Degree / Diploma).Registered Assessor and Moderator with TETA will be advantageous.5 Years proven track record of designing and implementing employee development programs.Established networks within the logistics industry and TETA.Sound knowledge of WSP and ATR requirements.Experience in training digitisation will be a strong advantage.Intermediate to advanced skills in MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
