The Training Manager is responsible for overseeing, supporting, and guiding a team of 8+ trainers within the training unit (with the opportunity of expanding the team when business allows). The role includes planning, coordinating, and assessing training programs while ensuring the quality and consistency of delivery. The Training Supervisor will also provide leadership, develop trainers, and ensure alignment with the company's objectives for training external clients and partners.Key responsibilities:Supervise, mentor, and support 8+ trainers, ensuring consistent and high-quality training delivery across various methodologies, including online, face-to-face, webinar formats, etc.Facilitate regular training workshops and sessions for trainers to enhance their knowledge, skills, and delivery techniques.Develop and maintain strong working relationships with trainers, ensuring a collaborative and motivated team, while providing ongoing performance feedback and development opportunities.Ensure all training materials and programs are up to date and reflect current product offerings and best practices, while coordinating with the system development teams to ensure alignment between product features and training content.Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and trainers' performance using feedback and various measurement methods, such as the Kirkpatrick model, to implement corrective measures and continuous improvement strategies that enhance the overall quality of training.Collaborate closely with the Project Manager to organize training events, ensuring all logistical and operational aspects are efficiently managed. Manage relationships with external partners to ensure the training program meets expectations for quality and relevance.Continuously assess and implement improvements to enhance the overall customer experience, ensuring the process is well-rounded and includes badges and certificates.Prepare regular reports on training activities, trainer performance, and program outcomes for senior management.This position requires regular travel both within South Africa and internationally.Behavioural Skills:Strong leadership and team management skills.Excellent communication and presentation skills.Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Familiarity with e-learning platforms, training technologies, and software tools.Ability to provide constructive feedback and promote continuous development.Qualification and Experience:Minimum of 5 years of experience in training and development, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.Additional certifications, such as Facilitator, Assessor, and Moderator, is advantageous.Experience in software/system training is an advantage.Proven experience in managing a team and overseeing training programs for external stakeholders.The candidate must understand and adhere to the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) and be knowledgeable about all health and safety regulations.Skills and Competencies:An extensive Knowledge of SmartGov Modules or similar modules.Skilled in organizing and managing training events and projects efficiently.Commitment to ongoing learning and implementing best practices to enhance training quality.
