Our client, a leading retail brand, is seeking a Trainee Regional Manager to join their team in the KwaZulu-Natal area. The Trainee Regional Manager will be responsible for leading, building, and managing the region's retail operations.
DescriptionKey Responsibilities: Sales Operations through Effective Leadership: Empower the management team to ensure that sales targets are met and exceeded within the region.Oversee the implementation of markdowns, promotions, and effective merchandising to boost sales.Maintain high levels of motivation and staff morale by leading through example and providing support to Area Managers.Identify and analyse trends, opportunities, and patterns related to sales within the region and the retail industry.Keep up to date with competitor service offerings and industry developments to maintain competitive edge.New Store Development: Drive regional expansion by continually adding new stores to the region.Source and evaluate potential locations for new stores, conducting viewings and reviewing feasibility for expansion.Ensure Area Managers are equipped and empowered to drive sales and operational excellence in their respective areas.Serve as the bridge of communication between the Head Office and regional Operations Teams.Provide motivation and leadership to ensure that the Area Managers are consistently performing at optimum levels.Upskill Area Managers on key aspects of business operations, including sales growth, administrative functions, and team management.Efficiently manage all Human Resources functions within the region, including disciplinary hearings, recruitment, training, and development.Administrative Management: Empower Area Managers to ensure all administrative functions are completed efficiently, including key controls, rosters, marketing, and reporting.Monitor Area Managers to ensure compliance with stock counts, marketing initiatives, and company policies.Take responsibility for managing stock losses within the region, ensuring compliance with company standards and effective management of Area Managers.Education ProfileMatric (Grade 12)Drivers LicencePrevious experience in a retail management role, preferably within a multi-store environment.Proven experience in managing sales teams, driving sales growth, and implementing operational strategies.Strong leadership and motivational skills with the ability to empower and upskill teams.Solid understanding of retail sales operations, including stock management, markdowns, and promotions.Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, changing retail environment.Key Attributes: Strong leadership and people management skills.Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.Ability to analyse and act upon sales and operational data.High level of integrity and accountability.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Passion for retail and customer service excellence.Application InstructionsPlease forward your CV to ******.
