Trainee Equity Trader

Our client is looking for a Trainee Equity Trader to join their securities company that is a member of the JSE Limited, SAFEX and the South African Futures Exchange. As full members of the JSE Limited, they offer trading in all listed Shares and Bonds on the JSE and in all derivatives available on the South African Futures Exchange, including Financial Index Futures, Single Stock Futures, listed CFDs, and Agricultural Futures.We are looking for a young ambitious person to be trained as an investment advisor/equity dealer. If you have an outgoing personality, are keen to learn, and are a self-starter with an interest in local economics, this position will tick all your boxes.RequirementsPreference will be given to a person with a Hons degree in Investment Management or a similar qualificationThe ability to work under pressureAdvanced skills in Excel spreadsheet construction (must)Strong analytical skillsSolution-orientedTeam playerAbility to organize and prioritizeStrong time managementAbility to meet deadlines essentialKnowledge of Refinitiv and IressBilingual in Afrikaans and EnglishValid Driver's License and transportNOTE - We ONLY accept online applications.
