Trainee Buyer - Footwear

Key Responsibilities: Assist in sourcing and selecting footwear products that meet the company's quality and fashion standards. Conduct market research to stay ahead of trends and identify new product opportunities. Support in building and maintaining supplier relationships, contributing to the negotiation of pricing, contracts, and terms. Monitor stock levels and assist in ensuring timely replenishment of best-selling products. Analyse sales data and consumer preferences to make informed buying decisions. Collaborate with merchandising and marketing teams to align product selection with promotional strategies. Attend relevant trade shows, fashion expos, and supplier meetings to stay informed on industry trends. Support the purchasing process, from order placement to delivery, ensuring products meet the company's standards. Monitor budgetary spending to ensure cost-effective buying decisions. Provide regular updates to senior buyers and management on sales performance, inventory, and trends.
