Details of the offer

To place trade lane orders with Caterpillar / Principal suppliers and to manage request changes and logistical processes from source to facility. Liaison with Regions to ensure right product at the right time and place. This is done to ensure PINS management and growth.

Manage and report on the Key Performance areas applicable to the Import and Export Trade Lanes. Leads the communication with principal suppliers and with sales admin in Southern Africa. Responsible for the statistical analysis of supply chain process efficiency and ensures accurate document flow. Ensure placing of orders for machines on suppliers and timeous delivery of ordered machines to Barloworld Equipment facilities. Responsible for managing SAP processes related to order entry and supply chain.

Key Responsibilities Effective communication with principal suppliers and Regions - order acknowledgements, configuration validation, order status. Analyse and recommend supply chain efficiency. Effective Customer/Receiver Communication. Ensure delivery of ordered machines against total configuration. Dealer exchanges and Export machines ex SA to territories. Cash to cash reporting. Oversee and manage the operational aspects of specific trade lanes, including imports and exports. Develop and implement plans to optimize logistics and transportation processes for the assigned trade lanes. Ensure compliance with trade regulations, customs requirements, and documentation standards. Manage and ensure timely customs clearing. Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for trade lanes, such as on-time delivery, transit times, and cost metrics. Collaborate with suppliers, vendors, and freight forwarders and internal stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate shipment of goods. Manage SAP processes related to order entry and supply chain including material master data. Leads the communication with principal suppliers and with sales admin in Southern Africa. Qualification, Experience and Competencies Minimum Required Qualification:
• Matric or equivalent qualification

Minimum Required Experience:
• Three to Five years' experience
• Strong communication skills - written and verbal.
• Roles requiring attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong Problem-solving capability and communication skills.
• SAP Experience Knowledge of Import/Export processes, Customer orientation. Ability to work independently and under pressure.
• Sales admin and logistics experience would be an advantage. Full knowledge and grasp of cash-to-cash cycle.
• Import/Export related experience, and internally sourced, sales admin, supply chain.

Minimum Required Competencies:
• Knowledge and experience in using SAP.
• Computer literacy (Proficiency in MS Excel and Outlook).
• Accuracy and attention to detail.
• Good communication skills.
• Good People Skills.
• Ability to work under pressurised circumstances and to meet deadlines.
• Problem solving ability.
