Key Responsibilities:Perform welding tasks using appropriate techniques such as MIG, TIG, arc welding, and gas welding.Fabricate and assemble metal structures according to engineering drawings and specifications.Inspect and maintain welding equipment to ensure proper functionality.Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics to determine work procedures.Measure, cut, and weld metals with precision and efficiency.Perform quality inspections on welded structures to ensure they meet industry standards.Repair damaged metal parts and structures using welding and metalworking techniques.Perform routine maintenance on equipment to extend service life.Adhere to workplace safety standards and wear appropriate protective equipment (PPE) at all times.Follow safety procedures for handling welding materials and equipment.Ensure the work environment is clean, organized, and free from hazards.Ensure all work is done to the highest quality standard, with no defects in welding seams.Conduct inspections and test finished work for accuracy and durability.Minimum of 2-5 years experience as a welder.Experience in metal fabrication, repairs, and maintenance in industries such as manufacturing, construction, or mining is advantageous.Ability to work overtime or in shifts as required.Ability to perform precise and accurate work, particularly with small tolerances.Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues with equipment or in the welding process. Qualifications:Trade Tested Welder Certification (Red Seal or equivalent).Proven experience in MIG, TIG, arc welding, and gas welding.Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.Knowledge of different welding processes, metallurgy, and materials.Understanding of occupational health and safety requirements.Strong welding skills in various techniques.
