The purpose of the position is to install and maintain machinery to ensure maximum uptime.
The position reports to the Maintenance Manager.Minimum QualificationsTrade tested certificate as a qualified MillwrightExperience RequiredPLC and VSD experience will be advantageousInduction furnace experience will be advantageousKey Skills and Knowledge RequiredElectrical and mechanical troubleshooting skillsIn-depth knowledge of PLC and PLC programming on Delta and Mitsubishi systemsSound knowledge of mechanical equipment, electrical panels, and PLCsFault finding determination skills are essentialProblem-solving abilityAbility to read drawingsCommunication and decision-making skillsAbility to work in a team or independentlyAbility to work under pressurePrepared to work overtime and standby whenever requiredKnowledge of hydraulic and electrical systemsBasic welding and boilermakingKey ResponsibilitiesNormal and preventative maintenance of hydraulic systems (presses, formers, pultrusion, and injection moulding).Normal and preventative maintenance of electrical systems (distribution panels, control panels, heating and cooling systems, and electrical circuitry).Normal and preventative maintenance of mechanical equipment (gearboxes, pumps, chain drives, couplings, and alignment).Fault finding and breakdown/emergency repairs (electrical and mechanical).Basic welding and boilermaking.Technical assistance to production and maintenance teams.Be part of continuous improvement.Implement planned maintenance and countermeasures.Assistance with machine changeover and start-ups when required.
