Trade Tested Artisan Boilermaker with Manufacturing Environment Experience to be based in BOSKOP, Potchefstroom (12 month contract position) PURPOSE OF THE JOB: The Artisan Boilermaker is responsible for preparing, cutting, and assembling materials, as well as welding components to meet project specifications.
They also handle the assembly of modules, integration of equipment, and address non-conformances during the process.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible for manufacturing, assembling, integrating, and installing plant equipment according to engineering drawings.
Marking and cutting of material using oxy-acetylene cutting torch, plasma torch, guillotine, and angle grinders.
Develop, mark out, bend, and roll sheet metal parts.
Responsible for good housekeeping and waste management.
Adhere to all health and safety requirements.
POST REQUIREMENTS: Residing in Potchefstroom or willing to relocate at own cost Clear criminal record Clear health record and willing to undergo a medical Willing to work shifts Willing to work on contract for 12 months Grade 12 Qualified Boilermaker with Trade Certificate.
Minimum 5 years experience in a manufacturing environment.
Experience in an explosive environment will be advantageous.
Good communication, planning, and organizing skills..
Highly organized, punctual, and self-motivated.
An in-depth understanding and working knowledge of the manufacturing/fabrication environment.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Experience in planning and implementation of work activities.
Basic welding skills.
Interpersonal skills and ability to effectively collaborate with multiple disciplines both internally and externally.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Computer literacy.
