Main Purpose: Specialist who is experienced in SADC countries, to ensure the smooth execution of trades, effective logistics and inventory management, supporting the overall trading operations.Knowledge Skills and Abilities, Key Responsibilities:Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesStrong communicator comfortable liaising in English with own team and external counterparties.3-5 years' experience trading physical products (ideally in a leading trading house).Analytical and commercial mindset.An analytical mind and inclination for problem-solving.Quick learner and can operate in a fast-paced environment.Manages complexity & ambiguity.Can demonstrate resiliency.Excellent communication skills.Structured and organized.Good attention to detail.Ability to be flexible and work to deadlines and under pressure.Team player.Driven and self-motivated.Degree level (or equivalent) in engineering, economic or business qualification.Excellent communication skills and the ability to multitask in a high-pressure environment.Key ResponsibilitiesKey ResponsibilitiesAdministrate the operational side of Service Agreement Contract between Trafigura and other party locations in Africa.Organizing the transportation of goods from suppliers to warehouses or directly to customers, ensuring timely delivery.Planning and optimizing transportation routes to minimize costs and delivery times while ensuring compliance with regulations.Selecting the appropriate carriers or freight forwarders based on cost, efficiency, and reliability, and negotiating contracts and rates.Monitoring transportation and logistics expenses, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and optimizing logistics processes to improve efficiency.Analyzing logistics performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing process enhancements to streamline operations and enhance customer satisfaction.Conducts research, performs market analysis, and provides insights to inform trading strategies.Key Relationships- Trading Team- Cargo Operators- Quality and Technical team- Service ProvidersDepartmentMetals and Minerals Operations - Lobito Atlantic Rail
