Trade Manager

Our client is seeking for a Trade Manager to join their team in the Transport and Logistics industry based in Kempton Park.Main Purpose of The Role:This position will be responsible for growing our Air & Sea market share on the APAC (both inbound and outbound). To build sound relationships within the network /organization, and to build a product that will help us grow our volumes and GP.Minimum Requirements:Min 5 years' experience in Air & Sea operationsMin 3 years' experience in a development or sales orientated roleWork experience / dealings with the APAC networkMust be willing to travel extensively both locally and abroadQualifications:Matric (essential)Diploma or degree in logistics or any other relevant degree would be an advantageComputer packages:Word, Excel, OutlookIntermediate to advanced computer skillsDuties and Responsibilities:Identify and secure major target accounts in collaboration with the sales GroupJoin customer activity with local sales staffSupport CRM in the transition of new accounts into operations, customer service and overseas networkPlan and monitor annual volume budget for the yearIdentify / agree trade lane targets with overseas counterpartTrade Lane Manager to provide support to Operations and Account management for route specific issue's that cannot be resolved locally as a key figure in the escalation processProduct development and implementation in conjunction with Air & Sea LeadershipCollect / report market information on a monthly basis to Senior ManagementMonthly KPI review of trade lane performance / target results delivered monthly to Senior managementCreate local awareness of trade lane, branding products, establish sales kits, presentations etc.Added Advantages:Proven track record in a business development / sales orientated roleIntricate understanding of air and ocean operations / product / carriers / routings etc.Should you not receive a response within 2 weeks please consider your application unsuccessful.
