Tractor Operator (J Hay Band)

Job Advert Summary
Responsible for safe and correct use, operation and maintenance of agricultural / horticulture related tool and plant.
Minimum Requirements
• Grade 12 and/or related NQF Level 4• 3 years' experience with tractor• 2 years' experience using a broad range of agricultural/horticultural implements and tractor-drawn equipment• A valid Code 10 (C1) driver's license and ability to pass Rand Water's K53 test.
Primary Duties
• Use of specialized tractor-drawn equipment (e.g., wood chipper, bailer, stump grinder, etc.)• Load and offload goods and refuse waste• Responsible for the separation of waste using the correct securing process• Dirt roads - decide where/what spoil to fill with• Grading and leveling• Best practice in handling and operating assets• Daily/weekly tractor and implement checklist and approve maintenance• Correct filling of logs books and checklists• Undertake senior gardener work when no tractor/work is available.
Knowledge
• Basic knowledge of fire fighting• Basic knowledge of first aid• Basic SHE knowledge on all related functions• Operator's license.
