MinimumRequirements:
Matric.Tool & Die Trade Qualification (Mandatory).Toolmaker Level 2 OR Level 3Knowledge of technical drawing and use of computer-aided design and manufacturing software (CAD/CAM)Skills:Leadership skills.Computer Skills Office.Strong level of English.Ability to work in a team.Good hand-to-eye co-ordination.Attention to detail.Accuracy.Good verbal and written communication skills.The ability to work independently and as part of a team.Excellent maths and IT skills.
Responsibilities:
Assembling, fitting, and repairing tools.Following engineering drawings to measure and mark out the design for the tool.Using hand tools such as files, hacksaws, and grinders.Using machinery such as lathes, presses, milling machines, and grinders to cut and shape the tools.Using 2D and 3D computer-aided design and manufacturing software (CAD/CAM).Using precision measurement instruments such as micrometers, gauges, and vernier calipers to check the tool's dimensions.Monitoring the tools used on the manufacturing line to ensure efficient run rates and identify necessary repairs or improvements.Attending to machine breakdowns to identify the root cause and solve the problem.Assisting with tool maintenance.Assisting with compiling necessary maintenance and tooling department reports.Ensuring the organisation and cleanliness of the workplace.Maintaining facilities, equipment, and machines used in good repair.Proper segregation of waste.Reducing consumption that leads to positive environmental impacts.Raising awareness of the occurrence or possible occurrence of environmental impact.Analysing and optimising existing manufacturing processes and tools at the Company.Studying and implementing changes in manufacturing processes aimed at increasing productivity, quality, and safety.Performing any ad hoc duties required by the department.
