Job DescriptionOur client has an opportunity for a qualified individual to join their team in the capacity of a Management Accountant.
The successful applicant will be responsible for the following:
Develop and maintain costing processes and proceduresOversee the management accounting functionIdentify cost accounting risks, develop and implement mitigating strategiesImplement and maintain sound internal controlsImplement and maintain sound internal controlsInterface and train users regularly regarding budget control and variance reportsOversee plant maintenance module and ensure accurate reporting at month endReport on variances between budgets, commitments and expenditurePlan, select, develop and maintain suitable manpower capabilities for area of responsibilityIdentify and timeously address problems and opportunitiesFacilitate and resolve conflicting issues or requirementsManage the designated area within time and budgetOther related dutiesQualificationsHonours Degree in Accounting or Cost and Management Accounting or EquivalentChartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA)Skills10 years relevant financial experience, of which 3 years should have been in a Costing RoleKnowledge of Internal Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)Knowledge of relevant legislationProficiency in computerised financial systems (SAP)Ability to work under pressureAttentive to detailBenefitsProvident FundMedical Aid
