Job DescriptionOur Cape Town based client has an opportunity for a knowledgeable individual to join their team in the capacity of the R&D Technologist/New Product Developer.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
Conduct Market research on new and existing productsFormulate specifications for new productsValidate recipes processes through factory trialsDevelop product based on the customer requirements and briefContinuously upgrade existing product ranges according to customer and business requirementsDocument and file the confirmed recipes for easy accessCreate and maintain a project tracking sheet, to ensure that the status and updates regarding current projects are reported onAlign recipe schedules with identified project schedulesLiaise with Procurement Department to ensure that raw materials available for production trials within the allocated timeframesContinuously improve quality standards of existing product ranges through local and international benchmarkingQualificationsDegree or Diploma in Food Technology or Equivalent
