JOB PURPOSE The Financial Advisor will be responsible for conducting financial needs analysisfor both Life and Investment planning needs, utilize extensive expertise toprovide financial advice to customers, grow client base and prospecting of newclients.
RESPONSIBILITIES Sales Opportunities CreationDevelop a personal network within the sales territory and represent theorganization at relevant industry events, sourcing of referrals, andrecommendations from existing customers and other contacts to identify salesopportunities, promote the organization, and enhance its reputation.Identify Personal Lines and Business Insurance opportunities.
Customer Needs ClarificationConsult with a range of customer representatives at different levels to identifythe outcomes they require, introducing relevant internal specialists and utilizingtheir expertise to gather and analyze complex customer data, clarify mid- tolong-term customer needs, and develop and agree to a specification of customerrequirements.
Conduct financial needs analysis, client portfolio analysis andprovide financial advice.
Sell Customer PropositionsIdentify the products or services that best meet the customer's stated needs, usepersonal expertise to propose quantities and product configurations, explain theselection to the customer, and invite the customer to make a purchase at thestandard price/terms and conditions of sale.
Customer OnboardingWalk customers through the advanced/custom features of the product/service,connecting those features directly with customer pain points.
Performance ManagementRespond to personal objectives, take appropriate actions to ensure achievementof agreed objectives and use performance management systems to improvepersonal performance.
Customer Relationships DevelopmentDevelop and implement a customer contact plan to communicate productlaunches and engage the potential customers in relevant sales campaigns tobuild new relationships.
Act as first point of contact for customer queries andcomplaints and resolve these, referring complex issues to others and ensuringthat the customer receives an appropriate response.
Client & Customer Management (External)Manage key client and customer relationships to maintain customer satisfaction,retention of clients and loyalty.
Client Document ManagementCreate and ensure compliance with a company wide document managementsystem.
Operational ComplianceDevelop knowledge and understanding of the organization's policies andprocedures and of relevant regulatory codes and codes of conduct to ensureown work adheres to those standards.
Obtain authorization from a supervisor or manager for any exceptions from mandatory procedure.Personal Capability BuildingDevelop own capabilities by participating in assessment and developmentplanning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching; gain ormaintain external professional accreditation where relevant to improveperformance and fulfill personal potential.

EDUCATION General EducationMatric / Grade 12 or SAQA Accredited Equivalent (Essential); 120 FAIS Credits(NQF5) in Wealth management (Essential); RE5 (Essential); 120 FAIS (NQF6) inWealth management/ CFP/ equivalent (Advantageous); EXPERIENCE General Experience 2 or more years experience as a financial advisor within financial servicesindustry with dealing in upper mass market and/or affluent client segment (Life &investment) (Essential) ADDITIONAL INFORMATION *SAQA Accredited Equivalent - It is the onus of the applicant to provide TIH andits subsidiaries with certified evidence that their qualification(s) meet theequivalent NQF level required for this role at time of application.
