The company specializes in high-quality injection moulding production and requires a driven and experienced professional to lead its Toolroom and Maintenance departments.Key ResponsibilitiesToolroom ManagementOversee and manage all Toolroom operations, including the repair, maintenance, and manufacturing of injection moulds.Ensure moulds are serviced, maintained, and repaired in line with production requirements.Lead and guide the team in achieving production efficiency through proper tool maintenance.Manage the inventory of tools, moulds, and consumables while optimizing cost control.Ensure timely delivery of mould changes and repairs to avoid production downtime.Maintenance ManagementManage and coordinate all machine maintenance activities to ensure minimal downtime.Develop and implement a preventative maintenance plan for machinery, tools, and equipment.Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards during maintenance processes.Troubleshoot and resolve breakdowns or equipment failures efficiently.Plan and oversee capital projects related to machine upgrades and new installations.Leadership and Team ManagementLead, mentor, and develop the Toolroom and Maintenance teams, including training and performance management.Coordinate daily activities to ensure efficient resource allocation and optimal team productivity.Foster a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.Technical OversightDesign and oversee mould design changes to improve production performance.Monitor quality control processes within the Toolroom to ensure precision in mould production and repairs.Collaborate with the production and engineering teams to address tooling and maintenance concerns.Reporting and AdministrationPrepare and maintain detailed reports on toolroom and maintenance activities, including downtime, repair logs, and cost analyses.Manage budgets for tooling and maintenance operations.Conduct regular reviews of equipment performance and implement corrective measures.Minimum RequirementsTrade Tested Toolmaker qualification is essential.A minimum of 5 years' experience in injection moulding within a similar role.Previous experience in a management or supervisory capacity leading toolroom and maintenance teams.Strong experience in mould design, repair, and maintenance.Proven ability to manage preventative and breakdown maintenance for injection moulding equipment.Proficiency in technical drawings and mould design software.Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.Experience with cost control and budgeting in a production environment.
