Testing Laboratory Branch Manager(JB4796)
Polokwane, Limpopo
R650 000 – R850 000 per annum benefits include housing and a company vehicle

Our client is looking for an experienced Testing Laboratory Branch Manager with strong leadership abilities and a solid background in managing SANAS ISO 17025 accredited laboratories, to oversee operations, ensure compliance, and drive strategic growth in their Polokwane branch.

Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in a relevant field such as Business Administration, Management, Chemistry, or Environmental Science.
A minimum of 10 years experience in a management position in a relevant laboratory environment.
SANAS ISO 17025 Laboratory Systems and Internal Auditing Certificate
Valid driver's license.
Computer literacy (Microsoft Office).
Must be a SANAS Technical Signatory
Proficiency in test methods and laboratory audits

Duties and Responsibilities:
Overall responsibility for the laboratory and its employees.
Developing and implementing strategic plans.
Ensuring the efficient turn-around time of test reports
Handling commercial and financial matters and interactions with customers.
Liaising with staff for day-to-day running of the laboratory.
Monitoring requests for testing and scheduling sampling and testing activities.
Conducting contract reviews with customers.
Managing laboratory activities to safeguard impartiality and confidentiality.
Ensuring compliance with health and safety procedures.
Identifying and mitigating risks.
Conducting Internal Audits of commercial and site laboratories
Investigating non-conformances and implementing immediate corrective and preventative actions.
Identifying root cause and proposed corrective actions, preventive actions, and improvements.
Ensuring that the ISO 17025 management system is implemented and followed at all times.
Management of the Collection, maintenance, and filing/storage of own records generated.
Supervising laboratory staff and ensuring their training and competence.
Reporting any irregularities in the data to relevant stakeholders.
