JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY: We are seeking a highly motivated Robotics Engineering Researcher to join our team in the Cognitive Medical Technology Laboratory. The primary focus of this role is to conduct experimental work aimed at designing, constructing, and validating new steerable instruments for endoscopic surgery.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Design and develop advanced steerable instruments for endoscopic surgical procedures. Conduct experimental research to test and validate the performance and safety of new instruments. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including surgeons and biomedical engineers, to refine instrument designs. Analyze experimental data and document findings to support the development process. Stay updated with the latest advancements in robotics and surgical technologies. Present research findings at conferences and contribute to scientific publications. QUALIFICATIONS: Ph.D. or Master's degree in Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field. Strong background in robotics, mechatronics, and surgical instrument design. Experience with CAD software and prototyping tools. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. FLSA STATUS: United States of America (Non-Exempt)
