Based in Sandton within the VW Brand department, the successful incumbent will be responsible to support the Volkswagen Digital Manager with the responsibility for digital marketing on the website vw.co.za. To maintain and advance the effectiveness of the website.
Possible Tasks within this RoleTo open service tickets addressing technical issues on the websiteTo manage Newsroom writer and ensure monthly quota of articles are receivedTo interact with Marketing Coordinators/ Marketing agencies/ Marketing Managers, present briefs to them and influence their thinking on digital marketing executionsTo manage personalization on website and experience working with Smart DigitalTo create purchase requisitions for supplier monetary engagement and serve as first approver for invoicingTo maintain and update website pages which includes liaising with internal teamsTo champion Always On; inclusive of paid and organic search strategy; from briefing to review and approvalTo draw insights from media dashboards and provide reporting that is helpful to the Sales & Marketing division as a wholeTo work in office 4 days a weekQualification RequirementsNational Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Commerce or Communications from a recognised tertiary institution.
Experience NeededA minimum of 3 years' experience in digital marketing or automotive environment.
Knowledge and understanding of brands and brand image.Knowledge and understanding of key digital marketing principles.Knowledge of the digital marketing eco system, preference to OneHub environment.Excellent communication ability, both written and oral, with an excellent command of the English Language.Advantageous: prior experience engaging with German colleagues.Good administrative and organizing skills, with excellent attention to detail.A team player, with strong stakeholder management, yet able to work and manage independently.Proficiency with ServiceDesk tickets, Viktor image downloads, Adobe Analytics and media dashboards.Advanced proficiency in MS Office (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint), with well-developed presentation skills.
