Qualifications / Requirements:
• National Diploma/Degree Industrial Engineering/Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum of 3 to 5 years' experience within the Logistic environment (Automotive)
• Minimum of 2 years project management experience
• CAD system experience
Essentials
• Computer proficient (Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
• Good analytical, planning, organizing and administration skills
• Good communication skills (verbal and written)
• Able to work under pressure and consistently meet deadlines
• Be a self-starter who operates independently and able to work within a team environment
Added Advantage
• Experience with Logistics IT systems
Key Performance Areas:
• Manage logistics projects from conception to successful implementation
• Initiating, developing and implementing World-Class material handling/logistics processes
• Analyzing/trouble-shooting existing material handling/logistics processes
• Planning and implementing improved warehouse and production layouts and facilities
• Design and implement racking, storage facilities, pallets and stillages in all shops and Warehouses
• Develop, introduce and trouble-shooting packaging specifications for local sourced as well as export parts
• Critically analyse processes with a view to reduce logistics costs
• Define and compile user specifications to be used for logistics IT Systems development
• Compile and present project proposals
• Setting of own objectives based on the objectives set by the Supervisor then controlling by means of KPIs
• Monitor projects and maintaining all documentation relating to these projects
• Monitor and audit the operational logistics processes to ensure all the correct standards are maintained
