Media24 requires the services of an experienced Telesales Representative in their Classifieds Advertising Sales Department. This person will be based in Bloemfontein.ResponsibilitiesSelling of classified advertisements (for Central24 media publications) through the daily generation of new business.Canvassing for advertisements in the classifieds section of the newspapers as well as digital ads.Liaising with clients with regard to the design, layout and placing of advertisements.Stimulating the market by creating new opportunities to satisfy clients' advertising needs.Achieving sales targets and adhering to deadlines.Generating new revenues.Servicing current clients and growing sales.Building portfolio of clients.Ensure that calls and e-mail queries are answered appropriately within given time frame.Assist with queries related to cover, payments, benefits, advertising sales, etc.Log details of calls on dashboard system for tracking purposes, ensuring classification in the correct categories.Provide feedback to members and service providers on progress of queries/outstanding issues.Relevant administration.Job RequirementsSenior Certificate (tertiary qualification in marketing will be advantageous).Good computer, typing/spelling skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Good language skills – fluent in Afrikaans and English.Good telephone etiquette.Adhering to deadlines – working under pressure.2 years' experience in the media industry is an advantage.2 years' sales experience is essential.The ideal candidate is regarded as a self-confident person with excellent sales skills who can function in a team within a competitive and fast changing environment.Given the employment equity policy of Media24, preference will be given to suitable candidates from the designated groups.
