Our client is one of the top three telecommunications operators in China, with a significant global presence. As a Fortune 500 company, their South Africa office serves as a hub for the African region, reporting to the EMEA Regional HQ in the UK. They seek a highly skilled TELECOMS / CARRIER BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER R800K - R 1.5M p.a. + OTE Business Development Manager for their Carrier Wholesale business. This role involves the sale of telecommunications services or network capacity in bulk to other service providers or resellers. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building and managing business connections and sales with large international operators, local operators, and ISPs across the African region. Remuneration: On offer is a competitive remuneration package, ranging from R800,000 to R1,500,000 per annum plus OTE, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Key Responsibilities: Developing and maintaining strong business connections with large international and local operators, as well as ISPs in the African region Cultivating and managing customer relationships, fostering long-term partnerships, and driving business growth Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, achieving sales targets, and managing project cash flow Organizing and executing precise marketing activities tailored to specific industries or customer groups Overseeing the sales procedure and preparing Business Execution Forms (BEFs) Qualifications and Experience: Significant experience in the telecommunications industry, with a deep understanding of the African market Exceptional interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills, with a keen ability to build and nurture customer relationships Strong market development capabilities, strategic thinking, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team Familiarity with the African telecom market, with preference given to candidates with existing customer resources in the region Proficiency in wholesale telecommunications services Willingness to travel extensively within the African region Additional Information: This position reports to both the Carrier Business Director of EMEA and the GM of South Africa. The role involves covering the African market, primarily Southern African countries, and requires business travel.
