Purpose of Position: To perform routine and stat analyses of samples and maintain analysers/instruments in a clinical laboratory.
Requirements:

Bachelor of Health Sciences Medical Laboratory Science
HPCSA Registration in Relevant Register and Practice Field

Required Experience:

Experience in pathology laboratory environment
Knowledge of Ampath QC procedures
Knowledge of Instrumentation and Methodologies
Knowledge of Meditech system
Knowledge of MS Windows
Knowledge of relevant pathology test procedures
Knowledge of Ampath Safety, Health and Environment management policy

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with Switchboard functions in order to correctly refer client requests
Assist with training client service employees to ensure competence
Implement safety and emergency procedures to ensure safe/continuous working conditions
Maintain good client relations to promote the professional image of Ampath
Maintain provider and route dictionaries
Perform departmental administrative tasks
