Purpose of Position: To screen slides and prepare cytology specimens in the Cytology laboratory.
Requirements: HPCSA Registration in Relevant Register and Practice FieldNational Diploma: Biomedical TechnologyRequired Experience: Experience in pathology laboratory environmentKnowledge: Meditech systemKnowledge of Ampath Safety, Health and Environment management policyKey Responsibilities: Maintain good client relations to promote the image of AmpathPerform general laboratory tasks to ensure the effective functioning of the laboratoryPerform Quality Control procedures in the laboratory to ensure best practices are upheldPerform special cytology techniques to ensure timely results of special cytology specimensPrepare Cytology specimens to ensure efficient specimen screeningApplicants must have a South African ID or a valid South African work permit.
