Requirements: National Diploma – Medical Technology (Preferably Clinical Pathology) (Required)Registered as Medical Technician (Chemical Pathology) with the HPCSA (Required) Required Experience: Experience in pathology laboratory environmentKnowledge: Ampath Microbiology document systemKnowledge: HPCSA regulationsKnowledge: Occupational Health and Safety Act (OSHA) Key Responsibilities: Maintain good client relations to promote the image of AmpathPerform general tasks in order to assist with maintaining best practice within the laboratoryPerform receiving and resulting tasks on the Meditech system in order to ensure correct handling, preparing and recording of specimen and resultsPerform Serological identification typing tasks in order to ensure effective processing and resulting of serological bacterial typingsProcess specimens on the benches in order to ensure sufficient delivery of results Note: Applicants must have a South African ID or a valid South African work permit.
