Position: Mechanical Fitter
Client:
A leading manufacturer of parts to the automotive, mining and engineering sectors within South Africa and abroad.
Location: Port Elizabeth Reporting to: Services Engineer
This is open to Residents of the EASTERN CAPE only
Rate: R190 per hour plus benefits
Must have the following Educational & Training Requirements:
- Grade 12/N3
- Qualified and trade tested Fitter
Experience Required:
- Minimum of 4 years of post-trade test experience in a similar role
- Proven experience working in a production environment
- Extensive experience in Hydraulics and Pneumatics fault finding and installation
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform regular maintenance on machinery
- Troubleshoot and resolve machinery issues
- Report problems in a timely manner
- Ensure daily housekeeping is maintained
- Operate lathes
- Carry out pipe work, valve installations, and repairs, as well as maintenance on pumps, motors, and welding or brazing parts
