Technician It - Mining

Are you an IT Technician with a mining background? My client is looking for you, reporting to the Regional Manager.Role PurposeThe Technician is a semi-skilled technical resource working in the installation, maintenance, and repair of complex telecommunications infrastructure equipment. The Technician is responsible for providing standard and advanced customer service solutions related to the installation and validation of new systems, planned and corrective maintenance, improving system utilization of installed systems, and supporting described sales activities for assigned accounts for all products distributed or supported by the organization.Job DutiesDeliver the services as required by SLA'sComply with all health and safety regulations on siteIdentify opportunities to grow the businessBuild, maintain, and improve client relationshipsProblem solving and troubleshootingAdhere to quality standardsOffice administration - Collaboration with onsite membersEnsure employee compliance to all company policies - leave, claims, petrol cards, SHEQ, and company asset usage and more.Perform all relevant inspectionsMinimum RequirementsMatric or equivalentA+ N+ qualificationCCNA is preferredUnderstanding of wireless and digital radio terminology, underlying design, and best practices.Desired ExperienceFunction related experience: 3 yearsLeading teams: 3 yearsProject experience: 3 yearsOther Experience3 years in Industrial Communication experience (non-negotiable)3 years in Health and Safety3 years in installing and maintaining Solar and Battery backup systems3 years in IT (Microsoft Office 365 and basic network configuration)3 years relevant operational and management experience in business and IT Service ManagementExcited to learn more?
