Technician

In addition to specific tasks as directed by management the Senior Artisan primary responsibility is to: Perform root cause analysis of complex problems on vehicles.
Having identified the root cause to perform the necessary repairs to vehicles in accordance with the procedures of the area.
Through interaction with the ECC and ATC to resolve system-related issues and to plan for future system requirements.
Check that defect is captured in IPSQ and check that all information is correct.
Diagnosis of the root cause.
Draw reworks instructions from dealer net (where necessary).
Perform the necessary reworks on the vehicle.
Release the defect/rework in IPSQ, providing an accurate description of operations performed.
Final Testing including the release of the retest block.
Act as a stand-in for Process Leader and Rework Planner when required.
Supervise delegated reworks and teams dealing with special reworks.
Qualifications and experience N6 qualification in Auto Electrician or Motor Mechanic.
Trade test in Auto Electrician or Motor Mechanic.
Minimum 5 years experience as a Rework Artisan.
Minimum 5 years practical experience in the automotive sector.
Knowledge of ISTA Software.
Experience working on E/E Web information guide.
