JOB DESCRIPTION – Not limited but aligned to: Technical support Supply ongoing in-field technical support to internal and external clients of Business Management and Technical and Training Services.
Handle product complaints.
Be responsible for or involved in marketing and regulatory trials.
Research, prepare and deliver presentations at farmer's days, veterinary training days, or others.
Develop training material for Training Services.
Provide technical support to the Commercial and Regulatory units with regards to product evaluation.
Liaison with stakeholders Liaison with key players in the animal industry.
Marketing material Provide technical and veterinary support in the development and maintenance of marketing material produced by the marketing department for both new and in-line products.
Customer Focus Host at least 6 farmer days per quarter.
Host coop training to be coordinated with the sales teams.
Visit key clients with / without relevant sales representative / area manager.
Speak at various veterinary meetings, congresses, etc.
Marketing & strategic planning Develop strategic activities with the Marketing team.
Plan marketing and branding objectives by product group and develop marketing plans and strategies with the Marketing team.
Collaborate with sales and procurement divisions to help develop strategic activities on identified marketing plans.Responsible for technical support in planning, implementing, and managing marketing, advertising and promotional activities and campaigns.
Other requirements Self-study of relevant literature to become an expert in the area.
Maintain a good level of awareness of current affairs in the veterinary and animal industry by self-study, conferences, attending meetings and personal contact with key players.
Develop and maintain good relationships with personnel.
Qualifiction Requirements BVSc or equivalent degree.
Registered and in good standing with the South African Veterinary council (SAVC) 3.
1 – 5 Years previous working experience in Animal Health.
Veterinary Industry knowledge IN LIVESTOCK – advantageous.
Veterinary products background/experience – advantageous.
Research experience – advantageous.
Ability to plan tasks and execute.
Interactive & communicates well with people.
Advanced reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required.
Advanced MS Word/Excel skills combined with rest of MS packages.
Strong Initiative-taker / Self-initiating / Self-directed.
Strong English/Afrikaans verbal, reading and writing skills essential, other languages beneficial.
Own Transport essential.
Willingness to travel.
